2018 Christmas Cards

Hi friends! It’s Sunday night, and that means I’m sitting here writing a blog post while my husband watches TV (tonight it’s break-down videos of the new Avengers trailer). It’s so hard for me to find time during the week to write for the blog, and our weekends are usually so full. But this seems to be my sweet spot, so here I am!

Does anyone else feel like this weekend went by way too fast? Some of our best friends visited us from Dallas, and our schedule was packed with fun things to do together. We showed them around Houston, including a fun little park we love that’s off the beaten path (maybe I’ll share it on the blog one day…), tried this delicious new brunch spot, had a game night with mutual friends and watched the children’s Christmas performance at our church today. It was such a nice weekend, and I even got to sleep in until around 8 a.m. on Saturday before W.woke me up for a walk. 🙂 Now I’m struggling to switch my mind back into work mode for tomorrow…

Today I’m finally going to share our Christmas cards!

We’ve used Minted for several years now, and I’ve always been so pleased with them for many reasons that I’ll go into below.

Outstanding selection and quality

The quality of the products on Minted are truly outstanding and some of the best I’ve seen. They also have the widest variety of designs and messages that I’ve seen at this price point. I’m convinced that anyone can find a design they like on Minted.

Easy to personalize

I love our photo this year! Our friends took it for us in Destin when we were vacationing together this summer. But let’s be honest, W. always steals the show – she’s way more photogenic than we are, and she’s just so dang cute! 🙂

I started using Minted because their website is so easy to use, and it allows you to personalize just about everything on the card. They have multiple color schemes and layout options for each card design, and you can even request a free sample. It’s the best tool I’ve found for customizing stationary at an affordable price point.

Free address printing

The thing I was most excited about this year is that we got the recipient addresses printed on our envelopes – FOR FREE! Yes, you read that correctly! They have a ton of gorgeous designs to choose from, and it was so hard for me to pick just one. Ultimately, I decided to go with the design that matched our cards.

It’s also so convenient that I can save all of my recipient addresses in my Minted account, and just update as needed each year. Then I have all of the addresses in one place, and I can easily keep track of who we sent cards to each year. I’ve tried keeping spreadsheets on my computer, but for some reason, it’s just so much easier and more convenient to use their tool.

Having the addresses already printed on the envelopes saved us so much time this year. Dennis and I got an assembly line going, and we had everything packed, stamped and ready to go in less than an hour. It used to take me that long just to get the addresses written! I’m proud to say we got our Christmas cards in the mail the first week of December. I’m pretty sure that’s when I ordered them last year, ha!

Fast delivery

We got our cards about three days after we ordered them. I have no idea how they do it, but that seems unreal for a customized product. It may have something to do with them opening a distribution center in Dallas, which is just up the road from us. Whatever the reason, I was so impressed that we received our order so quickly. And everything was correct, of course 🙂

Support small businesses

Minted is also great because their designs are all made by independent artists, which means not only does your purchase help small business owners, but the designs are so unique and you won’t find them anywhere else. Y’all know I always prefer to purchase from retailers that support a good cause, and Minted definitely checks that box for me.

I love sending and receiving Christmas cards, and I hope this post inspires you if you’re still planning your cards this year or deciding if you’d like to start sending cards. It’s such a sweet gift to share with your family and friends, especially in our world of text messages and email.

Finally, this post reflects my own opinions and I did not receive anything from Minted in return. I’ve been excited to share this with you because I truly believe in their products and enjoy supporting their work!

Have a great week!

Until next time,

Christi
